VEKA Group publishes new edition of Future-friendly
Making responsibility visible
Every two years, the VEKA Group publishes its sustainability booklet "Future-friendly", which provides a comprehensive overview of the sustainability activities within the company group. With the fourth edition, which looks back over the years 2023 and 2024, we are once again emphasizing that sustainability is not a short-term trend, but a strategic, structural, and cultural component of our actions.
Our understanding of sustainability
As a family business, we pursue the goal of sustainable corporate development: we want to create secure jobs, operate in a healthy environment, and leave behind a livable, viable, and just world for future generations. Our sustainability work is therefore based on a holistic perspective that combines the three dimensions of business, society and the environment. At the Laumann Group, we are convinced that only those who take all three aspects into account can operate responsibly and in a future-friendly way.
Challenges as motivation
The last few years have been marked by geopolitical tensions, volatile markets and the tangible effects of climate change. These developments have shown us how important it is to anchor sustainability even more in our strategy. With our first double materiality analysis, we have taken a decisive step forward and at the same time laid the foundation for future reporting requirements.
A key topic in the new issue is the transformation of the product portfolio. At the VEKA Group, we are consistently focusing on the circular economy and resource conservation: from the increased use of recycled materials and non-fossil PVC to the closer integration of our core business and recycling activities. Our vision is clear: no plastic windows should end up in landfill in the future.
